Technical Support Services for the Preparation of the Business Plan of the Agri-food Technological Support Centre (CATAA) of Castelo Branco
The Centre for Agri-food Technological Support (CATAA) of Castelo Branco is a service institution providing support for farming and food companies, for: (i) Certification and quality control of products, (ii) Laboratory of physical-chemical and micro-biological analysis (iii) Research promotion, especially applied in nature, in order to optimize the use of regional agro-industrial resources; (iv) Sectoral pilot production for testing the installation of small industries; (v) Training, management and marketing.
Opened in 2010, it is the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Castelo Branco and the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco and it received support from EU funds through the Mais Centro – Regional Operational Programme of Centro.
Within the context of the application of CATAA to Mais Centro – Regional Operational Programme of the Centro, namely the Support System for Scientific and Technological Research Infrastructure (SAICT), a business plan was prepared, which included the following components: (i) Strategy Intervention – Business Idea, (ii) Economic Feasibility Study, (iii) Financial Analysis of the Project, (iv) Economic and Financial Indicators, (v) Investment Analysis and its Sensitivity, (vi) Competency Matrix of Human Resources of CATAA.
